This book contains two stories
Badrock's story - During the fight with the monster Badrock finds out that the monster was actually one of his dad's early experiments he manages to defeat the monster and is later found by his dad and Youngblood. Back at his dad's lab Sentinel offers Badrock a position on the Youngblood team which he accepts.
Masada's Story - Masada must stop an assassination of a political speaker.
